The McMillan Theatre Company is a young company of children aged 11 – 16 years (school years 7 to 11).
We believe process and product are of equal importance and aim to create excellent pieces of Youth Theatre whilst teaching theatrical techniques and fundamental life skills such as teamwork and communication and building self-confidence.
Since opening in 2017 we have had the opportunity to perform as part of The National Theatre Connections Programme twice and have also presented both scripted and devised work on our beautiful McMillan stage. During the pandemic we had fun creating a short film for the Theatre Centre’s ImagiNation Festival 2020 and were thrilled to be chosen to have our film SKY by Alex Critoph be shown as part of the festival. Moving forward we plan to present 3 productions a year as we continue to grow and develop our work and community.
