Somerstage

Bringing the West End to the West Country

Somerstage is an exciting and respected Musical Theatre School, based at The McMillan Theatre in Bridgwater.

After performing professionally in some of the world’s top musicals, Lisa Lynch and Tim Bonser are bringing the essential ingredients of The West End to the West Country. Along with dance teacher Dean Brammall, learn to dance, act and sing to the highest professional standard.

Become the all-round triple threat performer you have always dreamed of. Combine your passion with fun and learn all the tricks of the trade with those who have worked in the West End and touring theatre industry in shows such as Mamma Mia, Jersey Boys, Spamalot, South Pacific and Jackie The Musical.

Somerstage Morning School, 11am - 2pm : £19.50 per session* 

Somerstage Afternoon School, 2.30pm - 5.30pm : £19.50 per session* 

*Fees to be paid termly in advance, term cost will vary due to length of term.  (25% discount for additional siblings).

Somerstage Saturday School

Our main weekly school is for 7 - 16 year-olds looking to progress in the three disciplines of musical theatre.

  • DANCE - Build a solid Jazz/Ballet foundation and learn how to perform like the professionals with choreography from your favourite shows
  • ACT - Have fun building confidence and stage presence by learning how to use a script, become a character and improvise.
  • SING - Learn how to sing with fantastic technique, control and passion. Bring to life your favourite songs with the experts. Learn to sing in harmony and on your own.
  • COMBINE - Marry all the disciplines together with our musical theatre productions and monthly workshops from West End professionals. Learn the actual material from popular and current West End shows. Recent workshops include Hamilton (Elle Leigh, Hamilton West End), Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Lucinda Lawrence, Charlie and The Chocolate factory West End), Wicked (Jonathan David Dudley, Wicked West End) and Les Misérables (Keith Anthony Higham, Les Mis West End).
